Sonam Kapoor stuns in Zara Shahjahan
Bollywood's Sonam Kapoor has a knack for fusion wear which mixes Western and traditional styles, but this time, she opted solely for the latter with a festive anarkali by Pakistani designer Zara Shahjahan. The white anarkali, adorned with red floral patterns and golden zari details at the neckline, was both elegant and understated. Sonam paired it with a striped silk dupatta in shades of white and orange.
In her Instagram post, the Khoobsurat actor captioned the photos, "May Maa Durga bless us with passion and strength, courage and grace as Vayu joyfully pulls me away to join the celebration. Happy Navratri! Happy Dussehra!" Her son Vayu made an appearance in the photos, as she mentioned his eagerness to join the others in the caption.
Styled by Rhea Kapoor and Sanya Kapoor, Sonam kept her accessories minimala red choker, a gold pendant, and gold earrings. A simple red bindi and kohl-rimmed eyes added subtle drama to her look, while her makeup remained soft with nude lips.
This isn't the first time Sonam has turned heads with her attire. During the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations at Antilia, she wore a red silk ghagra by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla. The crushed silk effect gave her outfit a unique texture, and her choice of a backless blouse added a playful twist. Traditional jewellery by Amrapali Jewels and haath phool by Aurus complemented the look, while custom flats by Aprajita Toor grounded the ensemble.
Recently, Rajkummar Rao, who worked with Sonam in Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga, shared his experience of working with her on Unfiltered by Samdesh. He said, "She's really a kind-hearted girl, she has a nice heart."
