‘Love Island USA’ star Hannah Smith is facing serious legal trouble after allegedly making racially charged threats toward a police officer during her arrest in Atlanta on September 30.

According to TMZ, Smith directed a tirade at a female Cobb County officer, reportedly hurling offensive language and threats. She allegedly yelled, "I can't wait to kill you, you dumbass, ugly bitch 'cause you're f*cking fat, and they love us skinny bitches 'cause you're f*cking Black."

Smith was also accused of telling the officer that she hated Black women and couldn't wait to harm the officer and her sister. The outburst occurred at The Roxy music venue, where Smith had attended a concert. She was arrested and charged with two felonies: terroristic threats and willful obstruction of a law enforcement officer. Smith was released on bail the next day, and prosecutors are currently reviewing the case.

Hannah's attorney, Mike Hawkins, stated that Smith has no recollection of the events after stepping away from her drink to take a photo with fans. He added that she is deeply troubled by what occurred and regrets any actions that offended others, including law enforcement. Prosecutors are considering whether formal charges will be filed against Smith.

Smith, originally from Charlotte, North Carolina, first appeared on 'Love Island USA’ Season 6, which launched on June 11, 2024. She joined the villa on the first day and initially paired up with Kendall. However, by Day 10, she was eliminated from the show after being unable to establish a lasting relationship.
