Pakistan Naval Academy bags silver at global sailing competition in Brazil
The Pakistan Naval Academy secured second place and a silver medal in the 79th International Naval Academy Sailing Regatta, held off the coast of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The host nation, Brazil, claimed first place with a gold medal, while China and Italy shared third place, both earning bronze medals. Portugal finished in fifth place, followed by India in sixth, Peru in seventh, Colombia in eighth, and Argentina in ninth.
The Pakistan Naval Academy's sailing team consisted of Officer Cadet Muhammad Abdullah Akram, Midshipman Talha Malik, Officer Cadet Saad bin Khalid, Officer Cadet Syed Shakir Ali, and Lieutenant Samiullah.
In recognition of their outstanding achievement, the Commandant of the Pakistan Naval Academy congratulated the team, praising their performance and dedication.
