'Game of Thrones' Iron throne replica sells for $1.49 million at auction

The auction featured a staggering 900 lots, showcasing an array of costumes and props from the beloved series. The event raised over $21 million, making it the most successful auction for items from a single film or TV show.

Among the notable items sold were three versions of Jon Snow's Valyrian steel sword, Longclaw, with the hero version fetching $400,000. Joe Maddalena, Vice President of Heritage Auctions, expressed his satisfaction with the results, stating, "These are extraordinary treasures made by Emmy-winning costume designers and prop makers."
