Govt's draft constitutional amendment would lead to destruction: JUI-F chief

Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the head of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam - Fazl (JUI-F), has stated that the government's draft constitutional amendment would result in devastation.

While addressing the Mufti Mahmood Conference in Mirpur Khas, Maulana Fazlur Rehman stated that constitutional reforms cannot proceed without their draft.

He warned that if any treachery is attempted regarding the constitution, they would take to the streets.

He further emphasised that if amendments were made based on the government's draft, it would lead to the destruction of fundamental rights, the judiciary, the military, and the people, which is why it has been rejected.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman stated that the politicians who deprive Pakistan of an Islamic system must be held accountable by the people.

He urged the public to confront the rulers who manipulate the constitution and to bring them out of the assemblies.

He also claimed that a conspiracy to declare Ahmadis as Muslims through backdoor means, under international pressure, has been thwarted once again.

He stated that a draft amendment to the constitution was brought to them in a black bag, but they rejected it. He warned that if any betrayal occurs in the constitution, they will take to the streets.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman stated that when we accuse the establishment of election rigging, they respond by saying not to place blame on them. He told the establishment that the skill of rigging is possessed by no one else but them.

He emphasized that the sole purpose of the current puppet assemblies is to serve their own interests, but we will not allow this to happen.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that, "Any act of vote theft, where votes are cast for one individual but the results benefit another, will not be tolerated.We do not want these so-called assemblies. We are ready from today to confront any such attempts; let them try, and we will fight in the field."

He further remarked that there is a government in the federation that has no majority of its own; a minority is ruling the country with the support of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP). They are governing by stealing our votes.

He stated that we fight for our rights while striving to keep the country united and the current demands by various people for a country for their nation is, in fact, the American agenda for a new geographical division after 9/11.

He further stated that the founder of Pakistan declared Israel an "illegitimate child" in 1948. For the past year, Palestinians have been martyred, and the negligence of the rulers regarding this entire issue is a crime.
