'Federal government should follow CM Gandapur's example': Barrister Saif

PTI lawmaker commended Gandapur for 'fostering political consensus' by executing Jamarood Jirga

Advisor to Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Chief Minister on Information Barrister Saif, has urged Federal and Punjab leaders to learn how to resolve public issues from Ali Amin Gandapur.

He made these remarks following the successful Jamarood Jirga, which he credited to the leadership of Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur.

Speaking to the media on Tuesday, Barrister Saif commended the chief minister for "fostering political consensus in a national disarray".

“Under the sincere leadership of Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, the Jamarood Jirga was conducted excellently," he remarked.

"The federal government has only spread discord, while the Chief Minister has acted as a true leader, guiding the province and the nation through a crisis.”

Lawmaker Saif highlighted the CM's inclusive approach, noting that Ali Amin Gandapur had even brought his opponents to the table, demonstrating the art of public representation.

“Public representatives know how to solve the problems of the people by staying among them,” he added.

He criticized the current federal government for needing more political insight and ability to address pressing issues.

“The government with the so-called Form 47 has shown no intention of resolving public matters. Their focus remains on conflict rather than solutions. True leadership is currently imprisoned due to fabricated cases,” Saif stated.

He further mentioned that federal ministers who had previously conducted raids to apprehend the chief minister had now worked together with him to resolve the jirga's issues.

Saif referred to past incidents in which the Sharif family had caused harm during peaceful protests, illustrating a pattern of excessive force in Punjab.

“Federal and Punjab leaders should learn to solve public issues from Ali Amin Gandapur,” he concluded.

CM Gandapur conducts jirga

CM Ali Amin Gandapur decided to brief the provincial assembly on the outcomes and demands raised during the recent Pashtun Jirga.

Gandapur expressed his gratitude that the Pashtun Jirga concluded peacefully. “As a host, I did my best to provide the necessary facilities in a very short time,” he said.

The chief minister further stated that all tribal leaders and representatives from various political parties had mutually discussed key issues.

He assured that as the provincial chief, he would do his utmost to implement the recommendations within the framework of the constitution and law.

For matters beyond the provincial government's authority, he pledged to raise them with the relevant federal authorities.

Gandapur emphasised that the government has a responsibility to address public concerns and meet their expectations.

He reiterated his commitment to working with federal officials to find solutions to the problems raised.

The chief minister also announced that a comprehensive discussion on these issues will take place in the provincial assembly, where he has been appointed to lead the committee.

Consultation will be sought from both government and opposition members to ensure an inclusive approach.
