Four arrested as ANF seizes drugs worth over Rs10 million

The anti-narcotics force conducted four operations in the last 24 hours.

The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) seized over 259 kilograms of drugs worth over Rs10,000,000 during four separate operations across the country in the last 24 hours.

Four suspects were arrested, and cases have been registered against them under the Anti-Narcotics Act, as reported by Express news.

In Karachi, ANF officers intercepted a suspect on the Super Highway and recovered 1.2 kilograms of cannabis and 165 grams of crystal meth.

The suspect reportedly admitted to selling drugs to students at educational institutions in the city.

Meanwhile, another raid in Gwadar led to the recovery of 252 kilograms of cannabis that had been hidden for smuggling purposes.

In Korangi, Karachi, ANF officers seized 502 grams of heroin.

Additionally, two suspects were arrested in Lahore’s Anarkali Bazaar after 4 kilograms of opium and 1.25 kilograms of narcotic pills were discovered in their possession.

Arrests made across multiple cities as ANF intensifies operations

Earlier this week, the ANF spokesperson confirmed that a total of six individuals were apprehended during the operations.

Among the arrested were individuals involved in drug distribution within educational institutions, highlighting the seriousness of the issue.

The seized drugs, valued at over Rs5.2 million, were recovered from various locations, indicating a coordinated effort by traffickers.

In one notable raid near the Sangjani Toll Plaza, ANF officers intercepted a rickshaw and seized 13.2 kilograms of hashish.

Two suspects were taken into custody following the operation. This raid was part of ANF’s ongoing efforts to curb drug trafficking along major transport routes.

Another significant arrest occurred in Karachi, where 308 grams of hashish was recovered near a prominent educational institution.

The suspect confessed to supplying drugs to students, underlining the infiltration of narcotics into schools and universities.

The ANF continues to focus on breaking these distribution networks.

In Rawalpindi, 9.6 kilograms of hashish was recovered from a suspect near the Pirwadhai bus stand, while in Faisalabad, 42 kilograms of hashish was seized from a vehicle close to Babu Petroleum.

These coordinated raids, which spanned multiple cities, have led to the arrest of two more suspects, intensifying the investigation into the larger drug trafficking network.
