University teachers in Balochistan have ended their weeks-long strike after fruitful negotiations with Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti. The teachers had been protesting against financial hardships and resource shortages affecting the province's higher education institutions.

Education Minister Raheela Hameed Khan Durrani, Provincial Minister Mir Sadiq Umrani, and opposition leaders Khair Jan Baloch and Syed Zafar Ali Agha were instrumental in convincing the teachers to resume their duties.

CM Bugti assured the educators of his commitment to resolving the financial issues facing universities. "We recognise the serious financial difficulties our universities are experiencing. I have assured the teaching staff that we will take swift action to address these challenges. A critical meeting with all Vice Chancellors has already been set to discuss solutions," said Bugti.

Education Minister Raheela Durrani emphasised the importance of finding a resolution for the betterment of students.
