Heatwave in Karachi set to persist for another three days

The Pakistan Meteorological Department on Monday reported drizzle in several areas of Karachi, including SITE, Jahangir Road, and DHA, with intermittent rain also observed in surrounding localities.

Despite the temporary cooling effect, the Met Department has forecasted that the weather will remain hot and dry over the next 24 hours.

The maximum temperature for the day recorded between 36 and 38 degrees Celsius, while northeast winds were blowing at a speed of seven kilometres per hour. Currently, the temperature stands at 28 degrees Celsius, with a humidity level of 69%.

Sunday's cooler conditions saw a slight drop, with the maximum temperature recorded at 36.5 degrees Celsius and humidity at 42%.

The Met Office anticipates similar weather patterns will persist for the next two to three days and has urged citizens to take precautions against the ongoing heat.
