Terrorist attack on Bannu police lines leaves one cop dead, four others wounded

Terrorists launched an attack on the police lines in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa's Bannu district , resulting in an ongoing exchange of gunfire with security forces.

According to sources cites by Express News, several terrorists infiltrated the police lines and heavy firing is currently taking place.

The intense gunfire has left the roads deserted.

Reports indicate that the attackers entered the police lines disguised in burqas and opened fire, leading to the death of one police officer and injuries to four others.

Rescue workers swiftly transported the injured to a hospital, where they are receiving medical treatment.

In response to the attack, three terrorists were killed by return fire from the Bannu police and security forces.

Meanwhile, security forces have initiated a search operation in the areas surrounding the police lines to apprehend suspected individuals.
