Information Minister Attaullah Tarar highlighted the enduring strength of Pakistan-China relations, emphasising that both nations have stood by each other through testing times.

Speaking at a ceremony in Islamabad on Sunday, he said the friendship between Pakistan and China is being passed down from generation to generation, growing stronger with time, as reported by Radio Pakistan.

Tarar noted that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) energy projects have been pivotal in overcoming Pakistan’s energy crisis. He also pointed out that the inflation rate has fallen to 6.9%, and the country’s policy rate has been reduced, adding that the government is introducing significant economic reforms.

Expressing his gratitude to the Chinese leadership and companies, Tarar acknowledged their support in helping Pakistan achieve economic growth. He expressed optimism that Phase Two of CPEC will be a game-changer for the region through the establishment of industrial zones.

He further remarked on the significance of Chinese Premier Li Qiang's visit to Pakistan after eleven years to attend the SCO summit, calling it a moment of great pride and joy for the people of Pakistan.

Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb also addressed the gathering, praising China’s major role in advancing energy projects in Pakistan through CPEC. He stated that Pakistan’s economy is moving in the right direction and described China’s development as exemplary for the world.
