Pakistan Army wins gold at Cambrian Patrol 2024 in Wales
Pakistan Army has been awarded a gold medal at the prestigious Cambrian Patrol 2024, held in Wales, United Kingdom, said a statement released by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The military exercise, running from 4 to 13 October, marked its 65th year, upholding its challenging professional standards.
According to the ISPR, participants from 128 teams representing 42 countries tackled tactical movement across difficult terrain, covering 60 kilometres within 48 hours while completing a series of specialist tasks.
Despite the fierce competition, Pakistan Army's team performed exceptionally and secured the gold medal, a testament to the force's high training standards and operational excellence.
The Cambrian Patrol is a mission-focused, scenario-based exercise assessing battlecraft skills, individual training, robustness, and leadership.
The exercise comprises eight 48-hour phases, with teams navigating a 60-kilometre course while carrying 32kg per person.
The ISPR hailed the achievement as a proud moment for Pakistan, reflecting the military's renowned professionalism and readiness.
