Siwa also compared the criticism she faced to the reaction Harry Styles received when he wore a dress on the cover of Vogue in 2020, noting, "Obviously, wearing a bulge is a little different than wearing a dress."

Siwa emphasized that she wants to represent those who feel different or don't conform to societal norms. However, she admitted that the backlash has been difficult, describing it as "brutal" and adding, "It’s really hard. People are just dicks."
