UFC 310: Belal faces Rakhmonov, Pantoja defends flyweight belt against Asakura
In July, Belal Muhammad’s long journey to the UFC welterweight title culminated in a victory over Leon Edwards in Manchester, England.
Now, on December 7, at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, he will defend his championship for the first time against unbeaten contender Shavkat Rakhmonov in the main event of UFC 310.
Rakhmonov, who boasts a perfect record in six UFC fights, aims to dethrone Muhammad, who has remained undefeated for over five years.
UFC CEO Dana White confirmed the matchup on social media.
Additionally, Alexandre Pantoja will defend his flyweight title against Japanese fighter Kai Asakura, who seeks to create history by winning a UFC title on his debut.
UFC 310 will also see the highly anticipated return of Nick Diaz facing Vicente Luque, alongside a crucial heavyweight bout between Ciryl Gane and Alexander Volkov.
