Sindh police officers to receive discounted plots and motorcycles
In a new welfare initiative, the Sindh Police, in collaboration with the National Police Foundation (NPF), has announced plans to provide affordable housing plots and interest-free electric motorcycles for its personnel, up to the rank of inspector.
The decision was revealed during a police gathering which was held at the Police Headquarters in Garden South, where Sindh Inspector General (IG) Ghulam Nabi Memon, Additional IG Karachi, zonal DIGs, district SSPs, officers, personnel, and the Managing Director of the National Police Foundation were in attendance.
MD of the NPF, Irfan Zaman stated that the foundation’s primary goal is the welfare of police officers.
He announced that the NPF will cover the down payment for plots in the first 2,000 units of the Police Housing Society, contributing Rs50,000 for each plot.
Irfan Zaman stated that the idea of providing interest-free electric motorcycles in instalments was proposed by the IG Sindh, and the foundation aims to offer benefits to employees up to the rank of inspector.
The IG Sindh expressed his desire for every police officer to have their own home, stating that they would also provide interest-free motorcycles to the Sindh police.
He assured full support to the NPF and mentioned that the PointMe app is a highly useful addition to the employee attendance system.
He further stated that Rs5 billion has been allocated for the police health insurance scheme, and work will commence as soon as the family tree from NADRA is received, enabling any police officer from any district in Sindh to receive treatment at the best hospitals in Karachi.
