TikTok viral 'Thank You, Beyoncé' meme and 'She Knows' conspiracy theory explained

The trend emerged after Diddy's arrest in Brooklyn on sex trafficking and racketeering charges.

Beyoncé is being humorously praised online through memes that playfully suggest she holds immense power. This follows the viral ‘She Knows’ trend, which also took over the internet. Beyoncé and her husband, Jay-Z, have been in the spotlight after Sean “Diddy” Combs was arrested on sex trafficking charges.

TikTok users started creating ‘Thank You Beyoncé’ memes, showing people performing everyday activities like sneezing or submitting assignments, as if invoking her name to avoid bad luck. 

Some users even suggested that skipping a Beyoncé song on music streaming platforms was considered bad luck.  

The trend surfaced after Diddy's arrest on September 16 in Brooklyn, where he faced charges related to sex trafficking, prostitution, and racketeering.

This isn't the first time fans have passionately thanked the "Single Ladies" singer. In 2017, Adele won Album of the Year at the Grammys and emotionally credited Beyoncé, despite Beyoncé not being involved in the song's creation. Adele even called her the "artist" of her life. Adele also famously broke her Grammy, with some thinking she did it to share it with Beyoncé.

Lizzo and Jay-Z also expressed their gratitude to Beyoncé during their Grammy acceptance speeches.

This comes after online conspiracy theories claimed that Jay-Z, Beyoncé, and Combs were involved in the deaths of Aaliyah, Left Eye, and Michael Jackson, which some believe was referenced in J. Cole’s "She Knows" song.
