Pakistan to send 200 tonnes of aid to Palestine and Lebanon

Two chartered flights will deliver 200 tonnes of essential supplies to Palestine and Lebanon

Pakistan will be sending 200 tonnes of relief supplies to Palestine and Lebanon as part of its humanitarian support for the regions affected by Israeli attacks.

The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has announced plans to deliver the aid via two chartered flights, each carrying approximately 100 tonnes of supplies, Express News reported.

The NDMA has issued a request for proposals from renowned air cargo companies to operate the flights.

Interested air cargo companies are required to be registered with the income and sales tax departments, according to the NDMA.

Bidding forms can be downloaded from the NDMA and PPRA websites. The deadline for submitting bids is 13 October, and the applications will be opened on the same day in the presence of bidders.

Last week, Pakistan dispatched its tenth shipment of humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza, collaborating with the Al-Khidmat Foundation.

This was reported in a press release by the Press Information Department, MInistry of Information and Broadcasting.

NDMA facilitated the shipment of aid, which included 40 tons of medical supplies tailored to the needs of Gaza's residents.

The shipment was sent from Jinnah International Airport in Karachi via a chartered A300 aircraft, which will transport the aid to Jordan before it is forwarded to Gaza.

So far, the NDMA has sent a total of 1,151 tons of aid to Gaza.
