ISLAMABAD:

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has reserved its decision on the petition for the recovery of Intazar Panjotha, a lawyer and focal person of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI), while instructing the DIG of Police to expedite coordination with agencies regarding the case. Chief Justice Aamer Farooq remarked that he is confident something will happen by tomorrow.

During the hearing, which was presided over by Chief Justice Farooq, DIG SP Khalid Awan and DSP Sajid Cheema appeared in court. The DIG reported that Panjotha's vehicle travelled from Faizabad to Shamsabad in Rawalpindi and then made a U-turn. He requested additional time to trace the vehicle's whereabouts, noting that the car's black number plate complicates tracking.

Chief Justice Farooq suggested appointing Faisal Chaudhry as the petitioner's focal person, stating that any progress should be communicated to him. The chief justice also indicated he would issue a detailed order in this case and expressed optimism that developments would occur by the next day.

Before the break in proceedings, the DIG mentioned that letters had been sent to all intelligence agencies and a Special Investigation Team had been formed for the inquiry.
