Magistrates reassigned to new crime bodies

RAWALPINDI:

The District and Sessions Judge of Rawalpindi has issued a revised allocation of Section 30 Magistrates to all police stations in the district, following the establishment of two new government bodies for crime control.

A formal circular has instructed all SHOs, the newly formed CCD, and the PERA to present cases before the newly designated judges for both physical and judicial remand.

According to a notification, Senior Civil Judge Waqar Hussain Gondal will now handle cases from the ACE, the CTD, the FIA, the Railway Police, Ratta Amral Police Station, and Saddar Beruni Police Station — a total of seven jurisdictions.

Civil Judge Ahsan Raza has been allotted Civil Lines, Morgah, Dhamial, and Chakri police stations; Civil Judge Jahanzeb Hafeez will deal with cases from Chontra, Rawat, Sadiqabad, the newly created Crime Control Department Police Station, and the ANF; Civil Judge Azmat Hayat will oversee New Town, Ganj Mandi, and City police stations.
