The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will reveal the national team for the upcoming white-ball tour of Australia, announced by the new selection committee.

Sources indicate that former cricketers Aaqib Javed and Azhar Ali are likely to join the panel. Both have expressed their readiness to collaborate with the PCB, with responsibilities that will go beyond team selection, aiming to nurture young talent in the squad.

Additionally, former ICC elite umpire Aleem Dar is also anticipated to be appointed to the new committee.

This comes after former captain Mohammad Yousuf resigned from his post, prompting the board to expand the selection committee. Asad Shafiq will continue to serve as a selector alongside the head coach, maintaining consistency within the committee.

The official squad announcement for the white-ball series against Australia is anticipated next week. Pakistan’s national team is set to depart for Sydney on October 29, where they will face Australia in three ODIs and three T20 Internationals from November 4 to November 18.
