Jennie, a member of the popular K-pop group BLACKPINK, has released her latest solo single, Mantra, along with an accompanying music video, as announced by her agency OA Entertainment (ODDATELIER) on October 11, 2024. The track features a powerful and energetic atmosphere, encouraging listeners to embrace their unique charm and confidently showcase their individuality. The song’s message focuses on self-love and mutual support, urging everyone to celebrate what makes them unique.

Jennie shared through her agency that Mantra is "a perfect song to mark the beginning of a new era" and hopes it will bring joy to her fans while revealing a new side of her as a solo artist. The song was inspired by her recording sessions in Los Angeles, with Jennie expressing hope that listeners will feel the positive energy in the track.

The music video for Mantra was directed by Tanu Muino, an award-winning director known for his work on Lil Nas X’s Montero, which won ‘Best Direction’ at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2021. Muino has previously worked with major international artists like Harry Styles, Doja Cat, and Cardi B, adding his distinct visual style to the project.

Mantra marks Jennie’s first solo release in a year, following her previous single You & Me in October 2023. In preparation for her comeback, Jennie partnered with Columbia Records, home to global stars such as Beyoncé and Adele, signaling her growing presence in the international music scene.
