Everything we know about Outer Banks season 4 part 1 releasing tomorrow on Netflix
The Pogues and Kooks will face off once again in the upcoming season of Netflix’s Outer Banks, set to premiere in October 2024.
The Young Adult coastal drama has evolved significantly since it first aired during the COVID-19 pandemic on April 15, 2020.
Season 4 of the Netflix series will follow a similar release structure to Emily in Paris Season 4, with the first part, consisting of five episodes, arriving on October 10, and the second part, with five more episodes, dropping on November 7.
Returning cast members from Season 3 include Chase Stokes as John B Routledge, Madelyn Cline as Sarah Cameron, Rudy Pankow as JJ Maybank, Madison Bailey as Kiara Carrera, Jonathan Daviss as Pope Heyward, and Calacia Grant as Cleo. Austin North plays Topper Thornton, and Drew Starkey returns as Rafe Cameron. Fiona Palomo, who plays Sofia, has been promoted to a series regular.
New additions to the cast this season include J. Anthony Crane (Dead Ringers, Billions) as Chandler Groff, a widower who takes in the Pogues during their latest escapade, Pollyanna McIntosh (The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live, Double Blind) as a rebel named Dalia who clashes with the Pogues, Brianna Brown (Dynasty, Eastsiders) as island realtor Hollis Robinson, Rigo Sanchez (Animal Kingdom, Station 19) as a mysterious stranger named Lightner, and Mia Challis (FBI: International, Clickbait) as the wild character Ruthie.
Season 3 ended with an 18-month flash-forward, showing Wes Genrette (David Jensen) proposing a partnership with the Pogues to find Blackbeard’s treasure. The season also featured the deaths of Ward Cameron (Charles Esten) and Big John Routledge (Charles Halford) as they searched for El Dorado, the legendary city of gold. In the end, the Pogues found what they had been searching for — the gold in El Dorado.
Season 4 will revisit the events leading up to Genrette’s proposal. Though they had planned to return to the Outer Banks for a normal life, financial struggles, including JJ bidding $100K on a boat shortly after receiving a $13K bill, will drag them back into the dangerous "G" game.
