Elephant 'Madhubala' to reunite with sisters after 15 years at Karachi Safari Park

Efforts to provide a safe and suitable environment for Madhubala, an elephant at Karachi Safari Park, are nearing completion.

The final stages of the park's adaptation work are underway, preparing for her relocation to the new enclosure after being separated from her sisters for 15 years.

The news was announced by Four Paws, an animal rights organization, which confirmed that Dr. Amir Khalil and his team will soon return to Karachi to oversee the final preparations for Madhubala's relocation.

Madhubala, who has been separated from her sisters Malika and Sonia for over 15 years, is expected to be reunited with them once the landscaping of the elephant enclosure and enrichment features are finalized.

Additionally, crate training for Madhubala has resumed, ensuring her smooth transition into the newly adapted environment.

The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) and Mayor Murtaza Wahab have played key roles in facilitating this effort. The organization, along with a Task Force, is now focused on completing logistical arrangements before announcing the relocation date. According to Four Paws, this milestone marks a significant step toward improving the quality of life for the elephants at the park.
