In an interview with Stephen Colbert on The Late Show, Vice President Kamala Harris discussed the ongoing Gaza conflict and voiced strong criticism of former President Donald Trump. Harris expressed doubts about a cease-fire in Gaza, stating that while the conflict may not end soon, "we cannot lose some belief in the possibility" of peace. She emphasized that the U.S. must continue efforts to resolve the situation and remain hopeful, urging, "the United States must work and not lose hope and not throw up our hands."

The interview with Colbert capped off a busy media day for Harris, which included appearances on The View and a discussion with Howard Stern. On The View, she criticized Trump’s lack of empathy and presented a new proposal on home health care. Harris has recently ramped up her public appearances, as Election Day draws near, to reach voters who follow both traditional and nontraditional media.
