Two men tortured, looted in honey trap incident
Two men were tortured by a woman and her accomplices, who deprived them of cash, mobile phones and a motorcycle.
The police, taking action, have registered a case against all four suspects and have started conducting raids to search for them.
Police said Khizar Hayat, a resident of Depalpur district Okara, filed a case with the police stating that he had a phone conversation with a woman, Uzma Bibi alias Nazia, who resides near Makoana Bypass, three to four months ago after which she invited him for a meeting.
On September 23, he went to meet her with his friend Shehzad.
She took them to her house, where, along with three unidentified accomplices, she assaulted them with sticks, rods, and axes, injuring them.
Reportedly, the culprits stole cash of Rs10,000, a mobile phone, Rs4,700 from Shehzad's pocket, his mobile phone and a motorcycle.
They also threatened to kill them and locked them in a room.
After confirming the allegations in their inquiry, the police registered a case against the accused under Section 382 of the Pakistan Penal Code and have started searching for them.
Meanwhile, a woman died due to electrocution at her residence in Arshad Town, Razaabad Police Station area.
Zainab Fatima, 20 had an arranged marriage with her maternal cousin Aqib two years ago. Yesterday, Zainab Fatima was busy cleaning the house with a wet cloth when she tried to move the pedestal fan which electrocuted her to death.
Razaabad police reached the spot and seized the body and handed it over to the heirs of the deceased after taking necessary action.
In a separate incident, 6-year-old Rida Fatima, a resident of 144/GB, died after falling from a motorcycle, which was hit by a truck.
Additionally, 17-year-old Bilal of Rajbahwala, was fatally hit by a bus while crossing the highway on foot. He died at the hospital after a brief struggle for life.
After taking custody of the body, the police handed it over to the family members and initiated a search operation to apprehend the drivers responsible for the fatal accidents.
