Taylor Swift accomplished yet another milestone by becoming the world's richest female musician. According to Forbes' recent ranking, the singer's net worth has sprung to $1.6 billion. The journey to become a billionaire was secured in 2023 after the singer's massively successful Eras Tour.

With a wealth of concert sales at hand, the rise brought about by Swift's re-releases has also been a helpful factor. The creation of the re-done albums was prompted by an ownership dispute between the artist and record executive Scooter Braun. Since then, Swift has put out re-recordings for four of her albums, the titles of which are now punctuated by "Taylor's Version" to set the reminder in stone.

Hoping to reclaim her masters with this struggle, she began by releasing Fearless (Taylor's Version) along with an additional vault of unreleased songs in April 2021. This has earned her renewed success in the wake of fans' nostalgia accompanied by a fresh, mature touch to each album.

According to Billboard, Fearless (Taylor's Version) earned more equivalent album units in its first week of release than Fearless did in the space of the past year, cementing Swift's hopes that the new versions would prove her efforts fruitful. Additionally, the previously unreleased vault track Mr Perfectly Fine became the most streamed song off the album with 98.8 million streams to its name.

With these albums, the Karma singer stuck her landing back on the charts in a way that even she didn't previously achieve. Moreover, her success remains steady with the release of albums post her departure from Braun's Big Machine Records. Twin albums folklore and evermore sold 2.3 and 1.7 million units respectively, with hits such as exile and cardigan garnering mainstream attention.

Her album Midnights was the best-selling album of 2022, selling over 1.5 million units in the US in its first week alone, which was labelled as the highest weekly sales for any album in seven years. It further marked Swift's fifth album to sell over a million copies in its first week.

Similarly, the recent creation The Tortured Poets Department sold a booming 2.6 million units in its first week, including 1.9 million pure sales, upholding the standard of Swift's incredible legacy. Given these stats, it's no wonder that she has made it to the top of the big list.

Swift's net worth has surpassed that of Rihanna, who currently holds the $1.4 billion mark due to her expansive music career and makeup line. Another one on the line is pop icon Madonna with a staggering $1.2 billion net worth.
