Fans react as DJ Akademiks demands $100K from Meek Mill for Diddy rumor source:'Isn't this illegal?'
DJ Akademiks has found himself at the center of controversy after demanding $100,000 from Meek Mill in exchange for revealing the source behind rumors linking the rapper to Sean "Diddy" Combs.
On October 5, 2024, Akademiks posted a tweet alongside a livestream clip where he claimed to have uncovered the individual responsible for spreading the rumor.
"Dear Meek Mill, Akademiks and his team of private investigators at the Akademy have discovered the individual linking you and Diddy after a 2 week investigation. Please wire the $100,000 to Akademiks' bank account and the name of the individual linking you to Diddy will be revealed," he stated.
The internet quickly reacted to Akademiks' demands, with many accusing him of extortion. One social media user commented, "This is called extortion, you know that it's against the law, right?"

The controversy stems from rumors that began circulating in September, alleging that Meek Mill was involved in an explicit relationship with Diddy.
These rumors gained traction after Meek Mill was mentioned in a lawsuit filed by Rodney "Lil Rod Madeit" Jones against Diddy earlier this year. The Philadelphia rapper, who previously dated Nicki Minaj, has been the target of online trolling ever since.
In response, Meek Mill offered $100,000 to anyone who could uncover the individual behind the smear campaign, tweeting, "I wanna hire an investigative team 100k cash to find out every specific detail involving Meek Mill name to 'Diddy' case."
As of now, Meek Mill has not officially responded to DJ Akademiks’ proposition.
