Richie Richardson hits milestone as referee in Pakistan-England Test

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has congratulated Richie Richardson for reaching a significant milestone of officiating 50 Men's Test matches as a Match Referee. Richardson achieved this feat during the first Test between Pakistan and England in Multan on Monday.

At 62, the former West Indies captain is a well-regarded member of the Emirates ICC Elite Panel of Match Referees. Since starting his referee career in February 2016, Richardson has also overseen 99 Men's ODIs, 99 Men's T20Is, and various women’s matches, including eight Women’s ODIs and 15 Women’s T20Is.

In his cricketing career, Richardson scored 5,944 runs in 86 Test matches and 6,248 runs in 224 One Day Internationals. He joined the Emirates ICC Panel of Elite Match Referees in 2016 after his playing days.
