YouTube content creator Jack Doherty was involved in a car crash while livestreaming on Saturday, October 5th.

During the livestream on the platform Kick, Doherty, 20, appeared distracted by his phone while driving his $200,000 McLaren 570S in heavy rain on a Miami highway. The footage shows the car losing control, skidding across multiple lanes, and eventually crashing into a metal barrier.

More than 185,000 viewers were watching the livestream at the time of the crash. The video, which has since been removed from Kick, depicted Doherty filming himself and his passenger, referred to as Michael, before the accident occurred.

In the aftermath, a clip shared on Doherty's X (formerly Twitter) account shows bystanders attempting to help as he calls for assistance and continues filming.

"My f------ car!" Doherty exclaims in the video, followed by concern for his passenger, asking, "Are you good?" Michael is seen with blood dripping down his face in the footage, and later, a video shows the pair in a hospital, where a doctor stitches Michael's face.

Kick responded to the incident by banning Doherty's account, citing its community guidelines, which emphasize safety and the avoidance of dangerous behavior. In a statement, Kick explained that it "does not condone illegal activity" and acted swiftly in response to the incident.

Fellow streamers criticized Doherty's actions, with prominent figures like Brett Hoffman (dakotaz) and YouTuber Corinna Kopf calling out his behavior on social media.
