Significant drug haul by anti-narcotics force across the country

Last month, in a series of coordinated efforts, the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) successfully executed ten operations across Pakistan, leading to the seizure of 643 kilograms of illegal drugs and the arrest of ten individuals, including a woman.

This comprehensive crackdown highlights the ANF's ongoing commitment to combating drug trafficking and ensuring the safety of communities.

The spokesperson for ANF provided details of the operations, noting that the recovered drugs have a market value exceeding Rs 80 million.

Notably, various types of narcotics were confiscated, including hashish, opium, and heroin, indicating the wide range of substances being trafficked.

The successful interventions took place in several locations, underscoring the widespread nature of the drug trade.

Specific operations yielded significant amounts of drugs.

For instance, in Rawalpindi, ANF personnel apprehended an individual near an educational institution, recovering 2.4 kilograms of hashish.

Another operation in Peshawar saw the recovery of 170 grams of hashish from a suspect near a university, illustrating the alarming trend of drug supply to students.

Furthermore, operations in Faisalabad and Quetta resulted in the recovery of intoxicating tablets, further emphasizing the targeting of educational environments.

The ANF's actions have sparked a renewed focus on the issue of drug abuse among youth, particularly in educational institutions.

With multiple cases filed under the Anti-Narcotics Act against the arrested individuals, authorities continue to investigate the broader networks involved in drug trafficking.

The determination shown by the ANF in tackling this pressing issue sends a strong message against drug-related crimes in the country.
