Azekah Daniel talks leaving being airhostess for acting

The actress also spoke out about harassment she experienced while working as an air hostess

Pakistani actress and model Azekah Daniel has revealed that she worked as an air hostess before launching her career in the entertainment industry.

In a recent interview, Azekah shared her journey from aviation to acting, highlighting the challenges she faced along the way.

Azekah, now a prominent name in the Pakistani showbiz world, said she left her job as an air hostess in 2010 to pursue modeling and acting.

Her first modeling assignment took her to Japan, but she initially struggled with confidence in her acting abilities.

"I didn't think I could act," Azekah admitted. "After my first project, I stepped away from showbiz for two years. But eventually, I returned and have since worked in numerous dramas.

She called this behavior a form of harassment, pointing out its growing prevalence. "Giving business cards to an air hostess during a flight is harassment. Unfortunately, it’s becoming more common," Azekah noted.

Azekah further addressed the broader issue of workplace harassment, adding that despite campaigns and efforts to raise awareness, the problem persists.

"Some people think that if a woman is leaving her house to work, she’s doing it to find a relationship," she remarked, urging for a cultural shift and stronger protections for women in the workplace.
