Ranveer Singh's next film to feature 19-year-old Sara Arjun as his love interest

The actor will portray an intelligence officer in the high-octane espionage thriller

Bollywood star Ranveer Singh's next film to feature 19-year-old Sara Arjun as his love interest.

Ranveer Singh is set to act in Aditya Dhar’s upcoming big-budget film, which also features Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal.

The announcement, made by the actors on social media a few months ago, has sparked considerable buzz, especially with the latest revelation of Sara Arjun as Ranveer’s co-star.

According to Indian Media, Sara Arjun, a former child actress known for her roles in both Hindi and Telugu cinema, has been cast opposite the 39-year-old Ranveer Singh.

This role, though reportedly minor, marks her transition from a child star to a lead heroine. The untitled film is expected to be male-centric, but Sara Arjun’s inclusion in the cast has caught the public’s attention.

The casting of Ranveer and Sara has ignited criticism on social media due to the 20-year age gap between the two actors.

Fans took to platforms like Reddit to express their discomfort with the decision. "She was 5 years old when Band Baaja Baarat released," one user commented, referring to Ranveer’s 2011 debut.

Others called the pairing “inappropriate,” with one post stating, "39-year-old romancing a teenager!? How did they think this was okay?"

Ranveer Singh will portray an intelligence officer in the high-octane espionage thriller, alongside Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, and Saif Ali Khan. Sanjay Dutt has been confirmed as the main antagonist.

The film, which is set against the geopolitical tensions between India and Pakistan, is currently in production and aims for a release in the latter half of 2025.
