In a surprising move ahead of the 2024 election, Vice President Kamala Harris will appear on Alex Cooper’s popular "Call Her Daddy" podcast to discuss key issues like reproductive rights.

Harris’s campaign told *The Hill* that the episode, recorded on October 1, will air next week. The VP’s team highlighted the podcast's strong connection to younger audiences, making it an ideal platform to engage women voters.

"Call Her Daddy," Spotify’s most-listened-to podcast among women, has featured major names such as Gwyneth Paltrow, Katy Perry, and Miley Cyrus.

However, Harris’s appearance is arguably one of the most unexpected. "Damn, the power these podcasts have nowadays is crazy!" one fan tweeted, while another noted, "I know Sofia Franklyn is absolutely sick right now."

Harris’s campaign emphasized the importance of reaching younger voters on pressing issues like abortion rights, which have been central to her platform.

In 2022, Alex Cooper herself addressed abortion access on the podcast, making a documentary-style episode that explored the aftermath of Roe v. Wade being overturned. Harris has been an outspoken advocate for reproductive freedom, promising that if Congress passes a law to restore abortion rights, she would sign it into law as president. Internet users reacted to the news of Harris’s podcast appearance with mixed reactions.

"So this is what she was doing this week instead of helping the hurricane victims??" wrote one, while another joked, "Now Joe Rogan is going to get Trump & they’re gonna do their own little circle jerk."
