Father faces threats after confronting perpetrators

Influential individuals allegedly set their pet dog on a 6-year-old girl, leaving her seriously injured in near Chak Abdullah, in the Basti Sufian Wali area of Chishtian.

As per the FIR filed by Abdul Basit, a labourer from Chak Abdullah, his 6-year-old daughter, Um-e-Haram, was on her way to her uncle's house from the market when the suspects, who were standing nearby with their pet dog, intentionally unleashed the animal on the child.

The dog attacked the girl, biting her in several places, causing severe injuries. The young girl lost consciousness due to the attack.

Hearing the dog's barking, locals rushed to the scene and immediately transferred the unconscious girl to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital for treatment.

Upon receiving the report of the incident, police from the Saddar Police Station arrived at the scene to begin investigations.

When the victim's father approached the suspects to confront them about the incident, instead of expressing remorse, they allegedly abused him and threatened to kill him, daring him to do whatever he could in retaliation.

Abdul Basit subsequently filed a complaint with the police.

The police have registered FIR No. 524/24 on behalf of the girl's father, naming two suspects, Muhammad Younis and Muhammad Sabir, along with two unidentified individuals. An investigation into the matter is ongoing.

Earlier in March, an influential landlord and his accomplices brutally tortured three people in the village.

The accused identified as Imran Bhalar hanged victims upside down and tortured them the accused with sticks. They were also sexually assaulted with burning chillies and potatoes being inserted in their sensitive parts.

One of the victims Yusuf and his family used to work for Imran Bhalar, who used to pay them Rs. 12,000.
