Rapper Future disses Gunna in new track 'Allure': 'You done took a plea on my slime'
Future and Gunna, two of Atlanta’s biggest rap stars, have a history of collaboration, with hits like "Pushin' P" and "Too Easy" under their belt.
However, Gunna’s involvement in the Young Thug trial has seemingly strained his relationships with several industry names, including Future.
Fans have noticed a lack of new collaborations between the two and suspect subliminal messages on social media are further signs of tension.
Now, Future’s verse on A$AP Ferg’s latest single "Allure" has sparked speculation that the rapper is taking shots at Gunna.
In the track, Future delivers a slick guest verse, which fans are loving, as it showcases his Mixtape Pluto style. However, upon closer inspection, listeners have theorized that Future’s bars may be directed at Gunna.
The lyrics don’t mention Gunna by name, but the wording strongly hints at him being the target. "You done took a plea on my slime," Future raps. "Won't be surprised if you ended up dead." The line references Young Thug, whom Future affectionately calls "slime," while the potential threat of Gunna’s fate seems pointed.
Future has always been vocal about his loyalty to Young Thug, famously stating in a 2020 interview with Apple Music, "That's my twin. … When you mention Thug you mention me. It’s like one." Their close friendship was further solidified by their 2017 collaborative album 'Super Slimey'.
Future’s latest verse in "Allure" is his most direct diss yet, reflecting his frustration with Gunna, if indeed the lyrics are aimed at him.
This isn’t the first time Gunna has faced hostility from Young Thug’s circle—Thug’s children uploaded their own diss to Gunna earlier this year, which Young Thug did not take lightly.
