The filmmaker announces his dream casting for political figures, including Mehwish Hayat as Benazir Bhutto.

Renowned Pakistani filmmaker Nadeem Baig has revealed his casting choices for upcoming political biopics, sharing that Mehwish Hayat and Hania Aamir will take on prominent roles.

During an interview with senior actress and host Iffat Omar, Nadeem Baig disclosed his plans for biopics based on key Pakistani political figures.

When asked who he would cast in these roles, he revealed that Mehwish Hayat would portray the late Prime Minister and PPP leader, Benazir Bhutto.

For the role of Maryam Nawaz, Nadeem Baig named two potential actresses, Hania Aamir and Ayeza Khan, but expressed his preference for Hania, saying she is "the perfect fit" for the character.

He also mentioned Hamza Ali Abbasi for a potential biopic of former Prime Minister and PTI leader Imran Khan, while for the role of PPP founder Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Baig said he would have cast the late Mohammad Ali.

During a candid conversation with Ahmad Ali Butt on his podcast, renowned Pakistani filmmaker Nadeem Baig shared some surprising behind-the-scenes insights.

He revealed that for his popular drama Pyare Afzal, another actor was initially considered for the lead role.

However, Nadeem Baig ultimately decided on casting Hamza Ali Abbasi, feeling he was better suited for the character.

He emphasised that these casting decisions were not compromises but rather challenges that allowed new actors to shine in roles they were not initially considered for.

Nadeem Baig also reminisced about the early days of his career, mentioning how his love for cinema began when he would encourage friends to skip chemistry classes to watch films.

This passion for storytelling eventually led him to the world of film and television, with a chance encounter during his college years setting him on the path to becoming a celebrated director.

Nadeem Baig also fondly recalled inviting his first boss to the premiere of one of his films, acknowledging the significant role his early mentors played in shaping his career.

When asked about the importance of music in cinema, Nadeem Baig stated that music is essential, especially in films with romantic or dramatic themes.

He praised Pakistani filmmakers for excelling in creating tragic and romantic songs. Addressing concerns about the future of the Pakistani film industry, Nadeem Baig expressed optimism, saying that the industry has been resilient since the 1980s and that he firmly believes it will continue to thrive in the coming years.

In a recent interview with Iffat Omar, filmmaker Nadeem Baig made headlines by stating that Humayun Saeed is a better actor than Bollywood's Khans, Shah Rukh, Salman, and Aamir.

According to Nadeem Baig, Humayun's fitness, personality, and acting ability are superior to those of his Bollywood counterparts.

When asked about the possibility of casting Humayun in an action film, Baig confirmed his interest, stating that fans could expect to see Humayun in a similar action hero role.

Nadeem Baig further elaborated that while the Bollywood Khans began their careers as romantic heroes, the era of romance in films has largely passed.

While Salman and Shah Rukh have successfully transitioned to action films, Nadeem Baig feels that Aamir Khan has not been as successful in this genre.

He believes Humayun Saeed is well-suited for action roles, given his impressive physique and screen presence, making him a strong competitor against Bollywood’s top stars.

The filmmaker also expressed his belief that, with a budget comparable to Bollywood blockbusters, he could create an action film with Humayun Saeed that would surpass the success of those starring Shah Rukh, Salman, and Aamir Khan.

Nadeem Baig praised Salman Khan's success in action films, attributing it to his physique, but he maintained that Humayun's overall package of acting skills and physical fitness makes him the ideal choice for such roles in the Pakistani industry.
