Ashley Hansen, head of communications for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, has announced the launch of her own firm, Three Gate Strategies. Hansen, who has worked with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex for over two years, will continue her role with them as her firm’s first clients. Hansen’s new venture will manage communications across the couple’s Archewell Foundation, business endeavors, and media projects.

In a statement provided to Vanity Fair, Meghan Markle expressed pride in Hansen’s entrepreneurial step. “We are so proud of Ashley, especially as a female entrepreneur,” Markle said on behalf of herself and Prince Harry. “We look forward to having her focused expertise on our business and creative projects and her continued oversight of our communications team.”

While Hansen’s Los Angeles-based firm will take on additional clients in entertainment, tech, and finance, she will maintain her involvement with the Sussexes. Her work has been pivotal in managing major moments for the couple, such as the release of their Netflix docuseries Harry & Meghan and Prince Harry’s memoir, Spare.

Hansen will oversee communications efforts for the couple as she expands her firm to take on more high-profile clients, continuing to help shape their public presence in business and philanthropy.
