50 Cent has carved out a successful career in hip-hop, but in recent years, he's moved away from releasing new music.

In an interview at Invest Fest with Earn Your Leisure, the rapper shared why he’s focusing less on music and more on other ventures. According to him, writing music today would require him to "tap into [his] st*pid," reflecting his view of current trends in the industry.

50 Cent explained, “If you listen to the music that’s out right now, I have to tap into my st*pid side to write the right thing when it comes time to write the music." He further elaborated on his shift towards film production, noting that he believes he can make a larger impact through those projects. "This why I haven’t created as much content as I was creating in the past and I started going towards the film production and development of these projects."

Despite his focus on film, the rapper hasn’t completely ruled out a musical comeback. In an interview with Evropa 2 last November, he teased that he might release new music after his "Final Lap" tour, hinting at future projects similar to those of Dr. Dre and Eminem.

With a successful tour behind him and new creative endeavors on the horizon, 50 Cent’s future in music remains open, but for now, his focus lies in film.
