Govt starts firing daily wage earners

As part of its right-sizing plan, the federal government has decided to lay off daily wage earners working at various government departments and ministries.

The Establishment Division has transferred the services of such employees to the surplus pool effective from September 30, 2024.

A formal notification has been issued in this regard, stating that, in line with government directives and the right-sizing policy, all daily wage earners have been informed. Therefore, all such employees are hereby notified that the Establishment Division no longer requires their services after September 30.
