Fugitives wanted for murder arrested

Shafiqabad police arrested a fugitive wanted for murder committed six months ago in the Saggian Shahdara area.

The suspect Raja alias Sallu Khan, had been on the run since the fatal shooting, which occurred after a verbal altercation. The case was registered against the accused in an FIR filed by the victim's brother.

Raja Sallu Khan had been a prime suspect, evading arrest for months while being wanted by Shahdara Police.

In a joint operation, Shafiqabad Police tracked down and arrested the fugitive, seizing illegal weapons during the raid.

Raja Sallu Khan was handed over to Shahdara Police for further legal proceedings.

SP City, Captain (retd) Qazi Ali Raza, commended the efforts of SHO Shafiqabad and his team for capturing the fugitive involved in such a heinous crime.

Meanwhile, a convicted fugitive was apprehended for the murder of her husband, a crime she committed in 2021.

The arrest came after a three-year-long search following her escape from the courtroom upon hearing her sentence. Nazia Bibi, along with her son, had killed her husband over a domestic dispute.
