NLE Choppa, known for sparking controversy with his social media antics, recently found his baby mama, Marissa Da'Nae, in the spotlight for similar reasons.

Marissa, the mother of two of Choppa's children, faced backlash after a brief moment during an Instagram Live where she stepped away while tending to their youngest, Chozen Wone.

During the live stream, she asked viewers to "watch him" as she briefly left to grab groceries, with her voice still audible in the background.

Marissa returned within seconds, but some fans blew the incident out of proportion, leading to unwarranted criticism.

Despite the criticism, many fans came to Marissa's defense, noting there was no real issue. One fan remarked, "So, she was gone for less than a minute, I can’t stand these 'perfect moms'.”

Another added, "This happens all day every day, he’s in a safe area in his play pen. I don’t get the issue."

This isn't the first time Marissa has had to defend her family. Just weeks ago, she stepped in to support NLE Choppa after his “I’m Coming Out…” tweet led to speculation about his sexuality. Marissa clarified, “He’s not gay, he’s just trolling y’all because y’all think he gay."
