'Over 100 officials martyred in 2024'

More than a hundred police officers and security forces personnel were martyred in militancy-related incidents, while over 230 attacks were recorded on police forces in the province this year.

This was stated in the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Counter Terrorism Department report published on Tuesday.

The report showed that the CTD had eliminated 14 most-wanted militants in targeted operations. The deceased also included eight senior commanders.

In the current year, around 492 militant activities were reported, in which the southern districts were the most affected areas, the report showed.
