The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has decided to demonstrate its public strength with a large rally in Hyderabad on October 18, marking the anniversary of the Karsaz bombing in 2007 as Shaheed Benazir Bhutto's caravan made her way back from the Jinnah International Airport in Karachi.

The preparations for the event were reviewed in a key meeting chaired by the central president of the PPP Women’s Wing and MPA, Faryal Talpur. The meeting was attended by provincial leadership, ministers, members of the assembly from Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, and Shaheed Benazirabad divisions, as well as senators and district officials.

Among those present were PPP Sindh President Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, Chief Minister of Sindh Murad Ali Shah, Provincial General Secretary Waqar Mehdi, Information Secretary Ajiz Dhamra, and Provincial Ministers Sharjeel Memon, Nasir Hussain Shah, and Jam Khan Shoro.

During the meeting, participants assessed the arrangements for ensuring strong public attendance at the Hyderabad rally. Talpur instructed party officials to ensure that there are no obstacles for the public in reaching the rally venue.

The attendees reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring a strong turnout at the event. Talpur stated that, under the leadership of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, millions will gather on October 18 in Hyderabad to pay tribute to the martyrs of the Karsaz tragedy.

She emphasised that the large public gathering will send a clear message that the people have not forgotten their martyrs. The rally will also highlight that the mission of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto and the martyrs of the Karsaz attack remains alive.

"The Hyderabad rally will demonstrate the commitment of PPP workers to fulfilling the mission of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Benazir Bhutto," Talpur said, adding, "The October 18 event will prove that the people stand with the PPP in its fight for tolerance, equality, democracy, and development in Pakistan."
