A viral video is making waves after a man paid $4,000 for a signed Taylor Swift guitar at an auction, only to smash it to pieces moments later.

The event occurred at the Ellis County Wild Game Dinner in Texas, a charity fundraiser supporting agricultural education for local youth.

Despite the guitar being donated by a third party before Taylor Swift's endorsement of Kamala Harris, the man gleefully took a hammer to the instrument.

The guitar was verified as authentic with a certificate, and while the item was intended to raise funds, the buyer opted to destroy it.

In the footage, the man, with white hair, can be seen enjoying the destruction, even laughing as he prepared to raise the guitar above his head. The host intervened before he could take it further.

The moment has sparked widespread discussion online, with some people praising the man’s actions, while others criticized him for wasting money on destruction.

The video, which surfaced on Monday, shows the incident taking place at the Sunday night event near Dallas, Texas.

Some have speculated the destruction was politically motivated due to Swift’s recent support for Kamala Harris, though this remains unconfirmed. The charity itself clarified that the guitar had no political connections.
