Erik and Lyle Menendez, the brothers convicted of murdering their parents in 1989, may be on the cusp of freedom. Erik's daughter, Talia, has revealed that a decision on their appeal for release is expected within the next 60 days.

The brothers have been serving life sentences without parole for the brutal murders of their father, Jose Menendez, and their mother, Kitty Menendez. Their defense centered around a claim of abuse, alleging that their father had sexually, physically, and emotionally abused them for years. However, the prosecution argued that the murders were motivated by financial gain, as their father was a successful executive at RCA Records.
