Siblings get locked in car, one dies

A child died and his brother was rescued in critical condition after they got locked inside a vehicle at a private housing society in Gulistan-e-Jauhar.

The dead child has been identified as four-year-old Rauf, while his brother, three-year-old Hasan, was found in critical condition.

According to Sharae Faisal police, preliminary probe suggests that the two siblings had entered the car while playing, but it became locked, leading to Rauf's suffocation, while Hasan was rescued in critical condition.

Police, after reaching the site, shifted the two to a hospital.

They stated that the children's father was not present when the tragedy struck, and their mother was inside the house. The car had been parked outside in poor condition for several months. Police have detained the car owner for interrogation.
