Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has criticised the provincial government for its singular focus on organising protests and rallies rather than addressing pressing issues. He stated that the government's agenda revolves solely around determining where to hold gatherings, stage processions, and conduct performances.

Kundi remarked that the provincial leadership often challenges the government but fails to achieve its objectives. "They should have reached Rawalpindi by now, but their recent software update has made them hesitant to go," he quipped. He expressed confidence that the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) would restore peace in K-P if given the opportunity.

In his statement, he also referred to political figures and their experiences with imprisonment. He questioned how long Mahmood Khan Achakzai's father spent in jail and asked Aimal Wali about his grandfather's time behind bars, contrasting this with Imran Khan's relatively short detention. "Asif Ali Zardari, the man of resilience, endured 12 years in political prison while others shed crocodile tears," he added.

The governor further stressed the contradictions in the government's stance regarding the military, stating, "On one hand, they claim they need to negotiate with the army; on the other, they refuse to face military courts. If you intend to engage with the military, you must be prepared to endure military trials."

Kundi concluded by highlighting the dire financial situation in K-P, stating that the province's resources are depleted.
