Diddy faces new lawsuit as 12th accuser alleges sexual assault, miscarriage after harassment
Sean “Diddy” Combs has been accused in another New York lawsuit of drugging and sexually assaulting a woman.
The latest accuser, the 12th in total, claims that after becoming pregnant, she was harassed by one of his associates to have an abortion and later suffered a miscarriage.
Mr. Combs was arrested last week and is currently in federal custody, facing criminal charges of racketeering and sex trafficking.
He continues to deny all accusations of criminal wrongdoing. The BBC has reached out to Mr. Combs’ lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, for a statement regarding the latest civil lawsuit.
In this recent lawsuit filed in New York, a woman referred to as Jane Doe alleges repeated instances of physical and sexual abuse over four years, starting in late 2020.
According to the lawsuit, the woman first met the rapper, who paid for her travel, at an "overseas location," and they began seeing each other regularly afterward.
The woman alleges in her legal complaint that Mr. Combs drugged her, after which he engaged in sexual acts without her consent while she was unconscious.
It is also claimed in the lawsuit that Mr. Combs secretly filmed these sexual encounters without her permission and pressured her into group sex.
One incident, which allegedly took place in July 2022, describes the woman being forced to take the drug ketamine, which caused her to “black out” and “lose consciousness intermittently throughout the night.”
Shortly after this event, the woman discovered she was pregnant. The lawsuit states that upon informing Mr. Combs of the pregnancy, one of his associates pressured her to have an abortion, and she later miscarried.
The woman also claims that Mr. Combs made threatening remarks that made her fear for her safety, tracked her location and phone calls, and discouraged her from working, instead offering to pay her an allowance.
“No one is above the law. Fame and wealth do not protect Sean 'Diddy' Combs from serious allegations of sex trafficking and abuse," said the woman’s lawyers, Joseph L. Ciaccio and Marie Napoli, in a statement provided to the BBC.
Mr. Combs has faced a series of accusations over the past year, following a lawsuit filed by his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura last November, accusing him of physical and sexual abuse. That lawsuit was settled by Mr. Combs for an undisclosed amount.
