Online driving licence service introduced
Home Minister Ziaul Hassan Lanjar inaugurated the online services for citizens at the Clifton Driving Licence Branch, aiming to facilitate the public. The minister praised the initiative, stating that online international driving licences will be a milestone and improve the image of Sindh Police. Citizens can now easily obtain learning and international driving licences through online service, with non-commercial licence renewal services to follow soon. Lanjar acknowledged the difficulties citizens faced in obtaining driving licences and assured that efforts were made to provide better facilities.
Addressing the ceremony, the provincial home minister congratulated IG Sindh and DIG Driving Licence for introducing online services. He said that modern policing is essential, and the Sindh Police's image will improve further. He directed authorities to improve the parking system and establish model police stations in South and City districts, promising special packages for staff. He assured Sindh Police of government support and pledged to identify areas for improvement.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, IG Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon stressed on the importance of modernising the police system, citing global examples where traffic systems operate under IT. Memon added that the online driving licence service will reduce pressure on the Clifton branch.
