WATCH: Karachi district police officers misbehave with traffic cop
Police authorities have taken action following an incident at Teen Talwar Chowrangi in Clifton, Karachi, where an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) engaged in an argument with traffic police after his son’s vehicle was issued a challan.
The altercation occurred when traffic police officers fined the son of a district police officer for using fancy number plates and tinted windows.
Following the incident, the ASI, identified as Gulzar, arrived at the scene and argued with the traffic police. The incident took place in the Frere Police jurisdiction on Thursday afternoon at Teen Talwar Chowrangi.
According to SSP Investigation South, Abdul Rahim Shirazi, ASI Gulzar was suspended after it was revealed in the video that he misbehaved with the traffic police for issuing the challan to his son.
The situation quickly escalated when the district police officers allegedly used harsh language towards Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Salman Zafar.
In a video circulating on social media, the district policemen could be heard accusing ASI Zafar of demanding a Rs100 bribe for the traffic violation related to the fancy number plate.
